Breaking the Chains
For International Women’s Day, this piece is a reflection on resilience, resistance and the quiet power of transformation.
It's the moment of breaking free, of shattering the chains that once bound. Along the broken links in UV paint, are the words freedom and patriarchy, symbols of old systems beginning to fracture. Yet one chain remains unbroken, bearing the word dominance, a reminder that while progress has been made, the work is far from finished.
Hidden within the piece are words of empowerment and inclusion, revealed only under the right illumination. Much like the strength, courage, and solidarity of women throughout history, sometimes unseen, often overlooked, yet always present.
May we continue to challenge, uplift and stand together until every chain is broken.
Here’s to a future of equality, dignity and freedom for all.
