Lightness of being

There are moments when life invites us to stop striving, to soften, and simply be.
This painting is a reflection on that still, sacred space, the one we find only when we allow ourselves to feel the now.

Petals drifting on the breeze, speak of release. Of how beauty isn’t something we chase, but something that moves through us when we let go.
Sunflowers turning toward the light, remind us that warmth, joy, and meaning are never far, they are already within and around us, if we pause long enough to notice.
And the vibrant kingfisher symbolises the freedom that arrives when we surrender to the flow instead of trying to control the current.

This piece is not about escape.
It’s about presence.
About the grace in softness, the power in stillness, and the quiet joy that arises when we allow life to carry us.

May it remind you that there is a lightness available to us all when we soften, breathe and let ourselves be.

Mixed media on a 40cm x 40cm canvas.
